The
DeltaV SIS system, rated for SIL 1-3 applications, includes the
scalable DeltaV SLS 1508 logic solver; integrated, easy-to-use
configuration software; and embedded digital communications to
support the PlantWeb smart SIS.
Bulky logic solvers and multiplexers can now be replaced with these
16-channel, self-contained, state-of-the-art logic solvers that support continuous health
monitoring of the entire loop.
The DeltaV SLS 1508 Logic Solver, built for digital
communications with safety sensors and final control elements, uses
the power of predictive field intelligence to increase overall
reliability of the complete safety instrumented function. It's
designed
for use in SIL 1, 2 and 3 safety applications as defined by IEC
61508.
You also get the benefits of advances like plug-and-play hardware,
drag-and-drop configuration, and explorer-based software that make
the industry-leading DeltaV system so easy to use.
In addition, AMS™ Suite: Intelligent Device Manager software
documents and archives instrument configurations and changes, as
well as health information and alarms.

FIELDVUE® digital valve controller instruments provide
automated performance monitoring and testing, enabling remote
partial-stroke testing while the safety valve is online. Extensive
diagnostics monitor travel and pressure deviation, valve packing
friction, and more.
The FIELDVUE DVC6000 for emergency shutdown solutions is TÜV-certified
for use in SIL 3 applications.

The Emerson SIL-PAC® final control solution uses Emerson
actuators controlled by the FIELDVUE DVC6000 ESD to operate the
valve. The actuators include Bettis G and CBA-series Scotch
Yoke actuators and the HyTork and FieldQ rack-and-pinion actuators
currently used in many ESD-type applications.
Proven in safety applications for many years, the Bettis actuators
are certified for use in SIL 3 applications when periodic
partial-stroke testing is performed.
